Dr. Melissa grew up in rural Nebraska.  She attended Nebraska Wesleyan University for undergraduate degree before pursuing her D.O. degree from Des Moines University.  She completed a partial anesthesia residency at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis prior to completing her Family Medicine residency at UNMC. She joined the Restorative Health family in October 2014 and now serves as Chief Medical Officer for the company while continuing to see patients full time in the clinic.

 

Dr. Melissa spent her first years of practice with Methodist Physicians Clinic in the Family Medicine department.  She then went on to specialize in regenerative medicine which includes becoming a local leader in PRP and stem cell therapies. She learned her love for regenerative medicine over 3 years ago when she began treating patient with PRP for arthritis and sports medicine related injuries.  She has expanded that scope now to included Vampire Facelift, Vampire Facial, Vampire Breastlift, O-shot, Priapus shot, and PRP for hair regrowth for which not only has she trained under Dr. Runels but has been certified to teach the procedures as well.  She continues to be amazed with the incredible results patients are experiencing.

 

Dr. Melissa’s passion is for her patients.  She truly enjoys the relationship that forms with each individual patient and the time spent getting to know everyone.  She understands the importance of that relationship.  She strives to provide exceptional care with the utmost honesty and integrity.  She incorporates preventative health measure and a balanced approach to optimizing health goals while providing safe and effective therapies.

 

She resides in Omaha with her husband, Patrick and their two children.  She enjoys relishing in the small moments with her family, Husker football, traveling and running.
